My goal as a Trustee will be to ensure important information is much more easily available and clear. I want to empower the whole community to participate in the decisions that help our children thrive in education.
I found the decision to appoint a candidate for the recently vacated seat and the process to do so less than transparent, so I led the petition to call for this special election.
I am 52. I have two children at Chapparal in K and 1st grade. I have been living in the Claremont area for the last 7 years. I volunteer weekly at Chapparal and coach little league. I am a volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for kids in the dependency court system. I have a nonprofit “Art Kids” where kids paint in a gallery with professional materials.
I own businesses in the hospitality industry. They thrive on serving others and making them feel welcome and valued. For most of my career I was a management consultant and advised the boards of very large companies.
I am multi-lingual and have spent more than a decade living abroad.
I studied Russian Literature at Amherst College and have an MBA in Finance from University of Chicago.
